Call me nuts or call me crazy. But I try my hardest to stay positive during the off season. If your getting up there in age like I am or older you know life is passing us by in a hurry, So with that said: If time is going by quicker as we age. Then Duck Season should be on its way faster then ever. Here in New York we have a early September Goose season which is only six months away. If you take part in goose hunting then the preseason is only three or four months away. Painting the decoys ,training the Dog, stringing up the weights for the decoys. Scouting farmers fields, Knocking on doors asking for permission. Getting your field decoys ready. Setting up your boat or building your blinds. There is tons of thing to do. Your not shooting birds but its just as important getting ready. I know its been a hard hard winter for a lot of us. But with that said: lets think about the good times ahead. Get out your shot gun shoot a few clay birds. They don't eat so good . But they sure can be fun to shoot at. And guess what there is no limit. Take a friend and a kid and start your season now. I know I am. I'm sick and tired of being inside. Hope each and everyone of you enjoy the Spring and Summer. Because I know we all enjoy the fall and early winter.
