Spring fever

I got it bad. I'm looking for new projects every day with a whole bunch of current ones that aren't even done yet.

I want to build a new boat for no reason. LOL

Good morning, Paul~

I understand....

I'm thinking, though, that I must suffer from Chronic Spring Fever: my symptoms persist year-round.

Feel better,

SJS

Well I can say this morning is the first time I've ever had to scrape frost off my windshield on April 17th in Alabama... weather is really throwing our turkeys for a loop this spring.

Turkeys are gobblin & strutin here. 41 deg. this a.m. while I was listening to them wake up . Had 4 birds sounding off from roost. After fly down turns out 2 of the 4 are jakes. Our opener is tomorrow morn and one of the 2 big toms I had in field this a.m. has got a meeting w/me in the a.m. tomorrow....hopefully! Big difference from just a week ago when nothing was gobblin in the a.m. Similar temps tomorrow with less n.w. wind so at least no mosquitoes yet but the ticks have awoken! Jump to this morn 4/18 and found one that cooperated!

Same down here. Not so much on the frost but the turkeys have been very quiet. More so than normal. Lots of rain, lots of wind, warm highs and then really cool lows this spring and it's been a challenge. Our birds are often very quiet, but this year has been worse than normal.

Dani - I'm hearing average of 12 gobbles for every 6 hrs hunting and you can imagine majority of those are on the roost. Weird year. Having success with them drumming, clucking, and yelping at least.
