i have a chance to purchase a 2013 16 ft polarkraft and have never owned one just wondering what people think of them, thanks john

I owned one of the 1854 riveted Polar Kraft boats. Very well-built very heavy duty and never had any issues with it I would buy it if I were you

Polar Crafts use to be pretty popular in my area. Lots of them were being bought by gov. agencys (DNR) but probably because of low bid priceing. No structural problems that i,m aware of with hull. Most of that size when I was looking did have a little roll in ribs near bow platform that didn,t allow for completely flat floor space. That at the time was important to me because I was looking to build a boat blind on it and utilize every inch of floor space as blind floor. Would have made it awkward for footing of shooter in that area.

I have a 1448 Polarcraft Jonboat that I bought over winter. Plan to convert it into a duck boat over the next couple weeks. Like the guy before me said, the floor isn't exactly level. But I plan to put 1" foam board between the joints and lay rubber mat over that so I don't think it will be much of an issue. The only other thing I see that might be a little tricky is that its a higher sided jon boat, its not low profile. So climbing in and out this first season might be a little tricky. Next season I'll have a hunt deck installed so it won't matter. Other than that it seems like a real solid boat.
