maiden voyage on my Estuary...finally

Tomorrow morning I'm going to take out my, new to me David Clark Estuary out for its first run on a local lake. After buying it in February/March this year, and letting it sit until last weekend, I had to pop of the carb and clean it to get it to run. I think the main jet was clogged, but that's all set now. I'm planning to run it up and down the lake to burn up some gas, and check out a few new spots for geese. If the ramp is not to crazy, I'll try to take a few pictures.

I couldn't be happier with how the motor ran, and how the boat rides in the water. The boat has a 2 stroke 15hp Yamaha, and I was pleasantly surprised with how well it pushed the Estuary. I did burn through the old gas. The gas didn't go bad and turn to Varnish in the carburetor, a jet must have been clogged. The motor ran great and never skipped a beat I am thrilled.

A big thank you to Scott. this boat is everything you said and more thank you

I?m really shocked you had to do anything with that motor. I?ve never had any issues with it. The gas was newish when I sold you the boat. I?m glad you like it, I?m sure it will serve you well and keep you safe.

No biggie, It ran great. It could have been a vapor lock, a clog, or??? Whatever, it starts up now and ran great. I have another spot to scout any day now.
I'm planning my first hunts in my head, and I think I'll try a spot for early goose as soon as the corn gets cut. I'l take the Estuary in an adjacent body of water and set up and pray for the geese to come. [smile]

Mike, Are you heading down to the Tuckerton Show on the 29th of this month? I sold my Estuary a few years back. I am going to the show to check out the 60th all glass one. Its a great show for almost everything you and your dog could need to hunt.

I don?t know. I've never been to that show, maybe I will check it out. What could I expect to see there ?

There will be Shooting of clays, dog retrieving, decoy composition, tons of decoys, more than 2 dozen boats, dog callers, Just everything that a hunter could need. Used and old

I don't remotely resemble an outboard motor expert, but with both my motors I've noticed that the longer they go without running, the worse they are to start. Not sure why, but it happens enough to convince me it's not good for motors to do nothing.
