There is power in prayer-update

There is definitely power in prayer, and this site is loaded with that power!

My doctor ordered a CT Scan about 10 ten days ago, (about half way thru my treatments), for which I had to wait a week to hear the results. Tuesday my wife and I sat in his office awaiting to hear.

He came in as usual, and after the usual salutations, handed us a copy of the CT report, to which he said he had good news.

I have 4 areas of concern. 1) 4-5 mm mass in my right lung, 50 to 100 nodules in my lungs, (which may or may not be cancerous, but may be "pre-cancerous, or not, and the reason for no surgery), affected lymph nodes, most likely cancerous, and the metastatic cancer of the bones, from which all the pain is coming from.

The report stated ALL areas of concern have either shrunk, dissappeared altogether, or have no longer spread. The mass has shrunk, approx half of the nodules are no longer visible, with no new ones present, the lymph nodes are back to more normal size, and there is no evidence of any more spreading in the bones.

THANK GOD! My wife literally could not contain herself and immediately broke into Happy tears. While we know some of this is not curable, and my days may still be numbered, the numbers appear to be be much greater here on earth than originally thought.

While going thru all of this, obviously I have had a lot of time for reflection, and planning both good and bad. One of the things I have done is gathered all of my decoy carving tools, parts, supplies and materials, and machinery. I'll be carving a few new blocks soon. I'll post as I go.

A HUGE THANK YOU to you all here who have posted here or sent me private messages. I know in my heart they all helped!

Now, we need to extend those same thoughts and prayers to the others here who could use a little extra boost as they go thru these tough times.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

What a great way to start my day. You're right, Jon, the folks here are like family and the prayers and support are strong medicine. All the best for continued good news.

That's outstanding to hear Jon! Very happy for you! Still keeping you in my thoughts....

Wonderful news Jon. So glad to hear.

Never ever underestimate the power or prayer. This, and a firm belief in good and a positive attitude help in the process as well. I have witnessed this first hand more than once, recently with my Mom who had a lung cancer scare.

Can?t wait to see the next decoy.

Hallelujah!
Great news Jon and I look forward to more great news and posts in the future.

I don't have words to say how happy this makes me. Hopefully a trip east for crabs and rails will soon come to pass.

Thank you Jesus!

"Thank you Lord for this news. May we all remember that there is a Hand above us to Whom we give honor and glory above our own mastery and control. Amen!"
