Not building a boat, but the new camp is taking shape, getting closer, final pics of the season!

Things always take longer than I think too. That camp looks great. Really enjoying the photos.

Isn't this the truth. My factor is 3X. If I think it will take a day, it takes 3 days. Seems to be about right.

What a wonderful camp you are building, My Goodness!

Lotta work but well worth it. A first class Camp.

May you and yours enjoy it for many, many years.

As for ridge lines near and far, they have always called to me. I do my best to answer, but it takes much longer now.[;)]

Wow Troy, looks great. Hey 1985 I hunted geese on Flagstaff Lake. Set the decoys and a bull moose came off an island, an unbelievable never hooked a decoy. I built a cabin in Eustis Ridge. The best prime rib steak I ever ate was at the Rangeley Inn. And the best breakfast I had was in Rangley fresh smoked salmon on a bagel. I am in North Dakota now and hope I'll make it back there for a prime ribz. Great bear hunting in that area also I'm sure you already know that. Good luck with the cabin. Just can't be every where, hopefully I'll make it back.

That's interesting John. The only snow geese I have ever shot were on Flagstaff. I looked at several property's on Eustis Ridge road before buying where I did. I grew up fly fishing on Quimby pond and this area is more central to my passions of fishing, snowmobiling and rabbit hunting, although Eustis is appealing too, I just know Rangeley better. We use to go over to Eustis and have dinner at the Porter House, I have some great memories up there and hopefully will make many more.

WELL, after many weekend days of working on the camp, it is finally buttoned up and weather tight for winter. Of which was just in time as we had flurries today while there. Now time to enjoy the fruits of our labor during the hunting and up coming snowmobiling season. There is still plenty to do but time and funds have hit the wall for 2018.

A great and safe season to all!

Good morning, Troy~

Great work - congratulations!

From your mention of snowmobiling, I'm guessing that door in the gable is for when the drifts get REALLY deep....

All the best,

SJS

That looks great Troy. Is that gable door the Stairway to Heaven or the Highway to Hell...lol..Sorry! Still looks great!

I guess it all depends on who's crossing the threshold Ed, I know some people of both directions...

Troy

Congratulations on getting her ready for the upcoming season. It looks so nice I do believe you could live there year round and be quite comfortable. But watch that first step out the door. It's a doozy :)
