Steve is having technical difficulties logging in and he wanted this put out to the community:

A long time friend and supporter of duckboats, Duane Ganser, passed away yesterday....one of the nicest and most humble people I've ever known...deepest sympathy to the family....he will be missed....

My thoughts go out to his family.

I hate to hear this. Duane was a first class guy and staunch supporter of duckboats.net. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Ganser family.

Sad news indeed.

Duane was a good man, and a genuine ambassador of the waterfowling and decoy community. He leaves some mighty big shoes to fill.

May he rest in peace.

Duane was a good man, always willing to show a newbie around Westlake. The tour of the Winous point club and their decoys about 5 years ago was a huge highlight of my decoy career. A more generous man I've yet to find. My condolences.

Jode,
I agree was one of the nicest men I have meet at the show and I really enjoyed the time with him at the club.
My condolences.

I'm stunned.
One of the greatest guys I know. Knew! He'll always be with us one way or another. A staple of Westlake/Strongsville.

I was painting with Gary Hanson last night when he told me. I was immediately saddened, what a terrible loss. I remember when Duane and I first met at Westlake in the good ole days around the pool competition. Jeff Coats was threatening to toss a swan decoy he carved for me out of an upper window into the pool. I started laughing when Jeff called out my name, Duane was standing nearby and we soon struck up a conversation. After that great weekend, Duane called me every year for his North Dakota Hunting hats and we would catch up, I was out of town this year and missed his call and I truly regret that. I told Darlene last night when I got home and this morning said she was still thinking about Duane. He was way to young to go and I will miss him very much, and always grateful to have known him. I will be taking the decoys I have that he carved off of the shelf and into the marsh this season in celebration of his life and legacy.
