All iced up...

The remind me a bit of the ice candles my wife makes with votive inserts using a fluted 3 gallon bucked filled with water and allowed to partially freeze. She inverts the contents and taps a hole in the base large enough to drain the interior fluid out to insert the votive candle and light it. They line our driveway on Thanksgiving and Christmas It was 5F yesterday morning, glad I have my decoys in storage...well, except for the two dozen goose floaters and sixty silhouettes, since the season is open into December this year.

We hit 18 degrees for a few nights and my rig got all iced up. Probably not proper treatment of a hand carved rig but am proud of these blocks. Hard working, blue collar blocks...

That's not mistreatment--that's what they were made for!

Pat~

NOW I understand why that Redhead is such a tall-neck!

Colder than usual here. Most of the ponds are iced - but the single-digits coming in a couple of days will start to clog up some of the rivers, too.

All the best,

JS
