Nothing like the north wind pushing snow at your back, a bird in your hand, and chessie with ice on his coat at your side.

Phil: Generally, most Best Westerns are dog friendly. Preaching to the converted here, but Google up to find others.

The hotel where there host the decoy show in Westlake is dog friendly. Formerly the Holiday Inn, now I believe they call it the DoubleTree by Hilton. I brought my dog there in the past. In fact, she tore some of the wallpaper off the wall when she was left unattended as a puppy. When I was checking out, I offered to pay for the damage and they thanked me for my honesty and never charged me. Try them. It's under new ownership but, its worth a try. Good luck !!

Don't take it too personal. It was a very quick trip. Left Iowa, Wednesday around 3:00pm... And we are on our way home... We made it to Sandusky by 7:30 on Saturday night ... About 10 more hours tomorrow... With up 5" of snow forecasted. Other friends and family were skipped as well....

But these were not to be missed
