Anyone with a Tornado 1000 who has had to replace the power switch?

Contacted the manufacturer, lost computer use for four days. Still no response this morning after I picked the repaired laptop back up and charged the battery last night. Prior ceasing function, the power switch had a very long lag time prior powering up the fan. Now, nothing...all connections appear sound via inspection from the vent panel opening after removing the screen.

I notice that the current model has a separate toggle on/off switch with a rheostat dial switch for fan speed.

Found the phone number on their Facebook page-yes, I don't use Facebook.. Talked to Steve at length. He walked me through a hardwire bypass patch to direct wire the unit to the plug-in cord wire so I can operate it plugged-in off a switched outlet, until my replacement switch and fan control dial arrive. He is including both a picture and a wiring diagram to reconfigure my unit to the new toggle switch on/off and separate rheostat setup with potentiometers for the fan limits so I can wire it into the fan control circuit power board.

Thanks to CAS Enterprise folks!

Steve sent me a combination unit similar to my original, so no additional hole to cut for the on/off toggle switch. I ran the unit for four days with the switch by-passed with no issues. The two potentiometers have very fine wires to connect. Steve coated everything in shrink connector sleeves and sent me wire nuts to make the connections. I flipped the unit upside down to better access the circuit board power unit connection array, but still had a heck of a time soldering everything and then sliding the shrink connector sleeves over these for the on/off circuit wires and the fan circuit wires, but it works, despite the small mountain of solder that accumulated on the wood surrounding the switch.

Steve said he can wire these in; if you want to incur the shipping costs and damage in transit-he mentioned that UPS has crushed two units thus far this past calendar year.
