As you know we have been very busy putting out Wood Duck Boxes. We just put six more out this week. This makes over forty with twenty more to go. We also started checking the last sixty we put out in the last few year. Happy to report that almost 50% of the boxes checked so far had signs of wood ducks in them. I am very sure that the numbers will be much lower as we move on . But that is a nice number to start out with. Thanks again for carry so much. Thank you and your crew for the hard work and dedication.


While checking local trout streams last week I saw Hooded Mergansers, and that was it for waterfowl.

Wood Ducks are already using nest boxes down south.

Will be awhile before that happens here. Old Man Winter is in no hurry to leave, he likes it here.

Thank you for your efforts. That's a really solid contribution. I imagine I'll see some of them this coming season - I believe I met you at the boat ramp once. I've put out and refreshed quite a few wood duck boxes recently as well. The ones I refreshed had a 75% success rate, which was great to see.
 
Vince old buddy just saw a pair of woodies here in upstate NY on my pond on Sunday. Couldn't believe it. Ice just melted off a few days ago.
