Opening a link what am I doing wrong?

Hey guys I need your help. When I or someone else attaches a link in a post I cannot get it to open.

If I click on it, it will bring me to a new duck boats home page. If I copy the link and paste in a new window it still will not open or at best will bring me to a page where I have to search for the link/topic.

Anyway to correct this?

Took me straight to youtube so I am not seeing any similar issues to yours. I don't know what is going on for you. Sorry.

Its weird. Even if I cut and paste the link it brings me back to the Duck Boats home page......bummmer.

In Steve's thread above, if I click on any of the links he provides, I am taken to the main duckboats.net forum page rather than to the linked site.

I'm using Google Chrome.

The actual text in the link above points to youtube. The fact that some browsers are not going to the actual link and instead going to the root of the referring page leads me to believe it is a security setting in the user's browser/virus protection s/w. I'd start looking there if it were my browser. Other possibilities are a virus or a corrupted browser. Uninstalling and reinstalling your browser may also correct the issue.

I have the same issue and when I tried to open the two links in this thread it just opens a new Duckboats tab.

I use Firefox. Check your add ons, extensions, and anti-virus to see if something is blocking it for security, like mentioned above.No problem here either.

Greg, that was helpful. I had an AVG extension running and disabled it. I still can't open the link directly, but at least now I can copy the link and open it in another window.
