Dave, what shape is the hull in- deep gouges through the gelcoat, any abrasion areas that penetrate, etc., particularly the back of the planning pad where the hull transitions with the transom? Does it have a travel cover that is intact? What brand and size motor, in what condition mechanically? Does all the existing wiring remain intact and do the lights, bilge pump, etc. all work? How old is the battery? Is it an AGM or a Wet Cell? Size 24 or 27? What condition are the trailer tires? Bias ply tires or radials? Size? Bearing condition? Who made the trailer? Condition of rollers and wiring?

Now, rank the cost of motor replacement, trailer replacement, hull repair to refurbish, battery replacement, rewiring, bilge pump replacement, and finally tire replacement. Add-up all these cost estimates and compare the total to the asking price. This should provide you with a relevant answer to your question.

Good Luck! Hope your choice works out.

If you are getting a complete rig. $7500-11,000 depending on the motor... I might be a little high, since 2003 is longer ago that I care to admit, but I don't think you can get that for $6,000.

Thanks guys. That is about what I was thinking too. I?ve seen 2 older ones for sale recently one was really beat up. The other was in good condition. The asking prices for them seem crazy high though. Gonna keep watching.
