Did someone say Walleye?
Same same spot as yesterday. 30inches, 9lb 4ounces , released to swim another day. Yesterday I kept a couple walleye and a catfish.

It's a shame I have another 40 years before retirement.....

Beautiful fish.

If I had known retirement was going to be this much fun, I would have put more effort into finding a rich lady to marry.

Dave,
That is a wonderful walleye. Great that you put it back. Better not tell your wife what you said about retirement or you may be retired from marriage by force!

Try a body of water that has a catchable Walleye population? I fished all week and didn't catch a single trout. Whistle

Walleye are easy during the spring and again in the fall but can be a challenge during the heat of the summer. I've been taking advantage of the cool early mornings. 1/2 to 1 hour before sunrise until about 7:30am, the bite drops off a cliff after that.

Nice fish anywhere!!
Our walleye fishing has been great all year. Dipseys and downriggers and the fishing is great from May til Oct .
The only problem is my boat is only 16ft and I don't go out if the waves are over 2ft so I only get out a couple days a week.
Western basin of Lake Erie get better every year for walleye but perch are scarce til Oct.
Great fish Dave!!

Wry nice walleye Dave. I?m envious. I have had no time to fish as there were several storms that rolled through the area of our cabin causing quite a bit a damage (not to the cabin but downed oaks, pines and Maples everywhere). I?m at 7 full days of hauling out brush and trees and probably have one more day of ?fun?

Maybe this fall.

And yeah, I should have done this retirement thing much earlier.
