Trim wedges on a displacement hull

Trim wedges on a displacement hull
Just curious. I have a displacement hull BBSB. Would putting trim wedges on the hull near the keel help to bring it on plane or am I wishful thinking?

Wishful thinking...... that said, there was a guy on this site, many years ago, that had a displacement BBSB and he had a complete planning surface added to his hull. From midship to the stern, and squared off to the gunnels. I am guessing it was simply some 1x framing, covered with plywood. I don't think it was glassed, but may have been. His name was John, can't remember his last name. Maybe Gene Jr., Jode, or Mike Braden will remember. Started with an H? Maybe from Delaware? or PA? It was the day we all hunted together.

Dave,
Thanks for the quick response. Wow that sounds like some project! More than I want to consider. I kinda figure I was wishful thinking. Oh well, it is what it is. I have another glass over cedar that is a planning hull, currently getting some much needed attention before the season arrives. . Was looking at some of your posts on your BBSB rebuild. Nice job. Giving me some ideas. I will probably asking the Duck boats think tank for some advice in the near future.

Zane, Yes it does work, When David made my Estuary he filled between the 3 runners which went forward about 18". It did make a difference in the speed and the bow angle, not a lot but noticeable. I would think you could add as muck as you like up to 15" from the top of the motor board down.
