We arrived in Canada a week ago late in the afternoon. Got the cabin organized and headed out for a few casts. Brought a nice Northern to the boat but no pics of that one. Saturday was exciting with many sightings and near misses, only one Muskie got to the boat. At times we were wondering if our baits were sporting any hooks. Sunday was a decent day with several nice Northern and Muskies being caught.

Monday morning the fish were on fire. My b oat partner and I were averaging one nice fish every half hour. Good thing too because it all came to an end about 1:00pm that day. It had been breezy all the time since we arrived but at 1:00pm on Monday the wind picked up, the sky got dark and the rain came down. We never left the dock all day Tuesday and with sustained high winds predicted in the forecast, we packed up the next morning. Left for home 3 days before our scheduled departure.

Had a good time while we were there, just would have been nice to get out for the entire planned trip.

The boat in the next photos is not ours. 35MPH winds were not kind to it. The gouges are more than skin deep but not all the way thru. The owner had not used bumpers when he tied up and I'm sure it will be a lesson he will not soon forget. I discovered this situation and added a couple bumpers to prevent further damage. Standard practice is, the boat owner is responsible for tying up his own boat and protecting his own equipment.

The wind and waves don't look that bad in the pics but we were unable to get out that day and could hardly stand upright on the docks.

Heckuva fish Dave!!! Looks like a great trip! Bummer that the trip got cut short by the weather

Dave, you better find that rich woman soon. It looks like your down to only 1/3rd of the pants you had in your last fishing post.

Nice fish. Glad you at least had part of your fishing trip work out with the weather.

Yet!

Nice Dave, your pics hadn't been showing for me but now they are (for better or worse :)).

your Muskies seem to be getting bigger too!

Those fish will measure Dave. I've never caught a northern or a walleye. From the look of the business end on that northern, i'd probably keep my toes out of the water.
