ND early goose/Huck

So, what's your assessment of the grain crop proportions this year in NoDak? More wheat, less corn? Do you have a lot of peas and soybeans around your location?

Everything seems about the same as last year. Normal crop rotation,soybean/grain. Went to Bismarck yesterday appears to be more corn around Wing, and more sunflowers.

Nice to see water out into the wetland band surrounding that pothole in the background of Huck's retrieve pic. Did he struggle with where to grab 'em initially. I am willing to bet you both appreciate minimal mud flats between shore and water!

My grouse hunting partner has a puppy out of his parent's last litter that is nearly a year old now. He has a fabulous nose...very impressive in the uplands. Humter and his Dad went to Kansas late winter for upland birds on Public land and still did well in spite of the snowstorm that hit just prior their arrival.

Actually it was a cripple ran him down and grabbed by the neck. Then tucked I. By the wing. Was a proud moment. I know sounds crazy.

John,
Huck is a spitting image of RUFUS who is now four. I haven't waterfowl hunted him yet due to high water. But he excelled last season on pheasant.

How much does HUCK weigh?

Huck is a very good looking ugly dog. Congrats on a productive first hunt with him. They seem to be in bliss on those long goose retrieves .
