Repainting a Baby Mojo part 2

So my Baby MoJo repaint from a Mallard to a Canvasback is completed, with an extra tweak.
I added a retro fitted remote, re-wired it to a single 6v system (from a 6 AA batteries), and made a mount inside the body for the battery using ?good stuff? foam.
I think it turned out pretty good!

Re-chargeable AA or reg?

6 reg would put you at around 9V peak
6 re-chargeable would put you closer to 7.5V

Most RC guys go with 5 Re-chargeable when building battery packs as you end up with 6V with load.

Correct me if I am wrong but I am also interested in how it works out.

The original battery configuration was 6 AA in series which from my understanding would have put out 9v. I re-wired a regular 6v rechargeable, after consulting with Mojo. Apparently they use the same motor in the baby Mojos regardless of the battery configuration 6v single rechargeable, 6 AA or 4 AA.
My preliminary test seems fine but will know for sure after a day in the field. Our split season first time frame is over and I am going to Europe for two weeks so won?t get a good trial until after that.
