HI STEVE,
HOW HAS YOUR SEASON BEEN GOING, THIS WILL BE THE 3RD SEASON I HAVNT BEEN ABLKE TO GO , BECAUSAE OF HEALTH REASONS ,REALLY MISS IT, SOME OF MY OLD PARTNERS HAVE HAD A GOOD SEASON HEAR IN N.J.
WAS WONDERING IF YOU EVER GOT THAT HEARTERS BOBY I SENT YOU UP TO YOU, NEVER HEARD BACK FROM YOU . IT WAS YOURS TO KEEP & ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION. LET ME KNOW. PAUL
 
Good morning, Paul~


I apologize for not yet hanking you for that body. It's a Herter's Model 59 Bluebill (what we Atlantic Tidewater guys know as Broadbill). The pair I found last year got some new paint and now rest comfortably on our mantel. One nice thing about plastic decoys is no need to worry about drying them out near heat.

Your body now sits in my shop - right next to some Model 59 heads....Thank you for thinking of me!



The season mostly ended for me once my right-eye vision went at the end of October I enjoyed two fine hunts on Long Island - but without a shotgun. I am confident that I will be shooting left-handed by next Fall.


I have been going hammer-and-tongs in the shop. This photo shows about half of the decoy projects now in process. I will be sewing later today - and I just picked up some White Ash for a batch of shovin' oars. Of course, the LI Decoy Collectors Annual Show is bearing down upon us on March 7. In addition to the Contemporary Decoy Exhibition, we are putting together a small tribute to Al "Mr. Decoy" McCormick. When the mercury drops again later this week, I need to drop a few trees for my firewood for next season.

Steve, Sorry for the late answer
to your last
db.net Answer. Since MY last e/mail i Have been in the hospital after a bad fall on my hip which was partialy broken 4an half weeks just got home today feb 20th , because of my situation i know i wont be able to attend your upcomming show. but i hope everything goes well for you & Craig , You always do a fine job. be in touch PAUL
