A Pair of Chocks for a Crossbar Back Rest

Good morning, All~

A Jersey South Bay owner just asked me to make a pair of chocks to hold his back rest inside the cockpit. I think maybe such owners have their dogs sit between this crossbar and the forward end of the cockpit.

I had made one previously for another's South Bay:

The cross bar is 1.25-inch in diameter - so I made the slot 1-3/8-inches wide.

Although earlier chocks were fashioned from plywood sealed with epoxy, I had a small piece of PVC "lumber" on hand. So, no concerns about rot - and no real strength needed in this application. I used 3/4-inch stock, but 1/2-inch would suffice.

Ready to screw onto the inside of the South Bay's molded coaming.

All the best,

SJS
