It looks like someone cut down a MFG runabout. It looks like they did a decent job of it though.
I never heard of MFG building duckboats
 
Many duck boats were built from cut down hulls on long island. I've heard them called paw paws or pow pows. Good start with a limited budget...

Bud Corwin - from Pattersquash - coined the pow-pow term. He first cut down an old hull and decked it over so two guys could hide - and shoot - side-by-side over the transom. The 2 "pows" were the 2 shots from the 2 gunners.


When Buddy advised others, his most important rule was to find the right hull. Most draw too much up forward and - like so many other things in life - a good hull is hard to find!

I remember that Zack Taylor really encouraged that idea in his books and magazine articles. Always wanted to try that on an old throwaway boat.
