GE rig for the boy.

As a graduation gift to Mac for finishing his Environmental Science degree at UBC I made him a rig of Goldeneye decoys. Since he and I have been hunting GE's since he was about 2, it seemed time he had some blocks of his own. I used some red cedar from the Island and some pine logs from Gerry's cabin next door. Hopefully they will be something he can shoot over with his own kids some day.

Those are family a heirloom now. Gorgeous rig Mac will get a lifetime of enjoyment from. Congratulations on his accomplishment.

Those are an outstanding graduation gift! Congrats to you and Mac. What's he going to do now?

Thanks Dani,

The future is a bit uncertain for work in his field, but he's fighting forest fires again this summer for now.

Did you make any progress with your skulls?

One of the best graduation gifts you could give, fine work. Hope to see pictures of dead goldeneye with them sometime.
