an origin question

Hey all, I know that Steve Sutton was well known as the nekid stump dancer but does anyone know how that got started?

I did some searching and couldn't find any of the back story and I think it started on the old forum.

So does anyone on here know the origin of that moniker?

Dani

I seem to remember a reference to druid/pagan festivities around the solstice a/o equinox.
I also seem to remember Harker and the guy from Arkansas who wrote very long funny posts (name is escaping me right now, Travis???) being involved in the conversation.

Carl, that was Travis Bruce, a classic story teller - wish he was still posting here.

Your memory is the same as mine. I don't recall the exact bantering but the cast of characters and time of year are correct.

Dani, I just found 5 pages of supporting threads after searching "stump dance" starting in Feb 2007 but no origin so it had to have started on the old forum. Lots of snickering and wink-winking though.

Acute excess use differs from chronic excess use...while the former may eventually grade into the later, it is not a guarantee, Todd.

Pretty sure that wasn't the case. While Steve did drink some, I would not say he was a heavy drinker.

I would agree with that.

I ran into the same thing Pete which made me think that it was the old forum. Some fun old posts though
