A decade of ducks

Just a little self pat on the back here...
The 2020-2021 season was my 10th season of waterfowl hunting. Thanks to folks on here I navigated my way to a new boat, logged the most number of days hunted in a season (also likely due to COVID), bagged the most birds in a season for myself, and won two awards on my local "get on the bird" leaderboard challenge. Even managed to log one hunt with my two girls during September goose. A memorable season for sure, and a decade of hunted stamps to frame. I also try to get one nee person out per year, this year I was able to coerce two into the sport.

Looking forward to more years in this fine sport.

Cheers all!

Good morning, Nick~

I'll send you another (Covid-safe) pat on the back - which is richly deserved. It sure sounds like you're hitting on all cylinders and bringing others into our grand passion, too.

Well done!

Way to go Nick!!!! This year turned out to be my 20th year duck hunting. Hard to believe that sometimes. I wish I could find all of my stamps.....

Here's to another ten years for you!!!!

Congratulations,
It's a great way of life. This season we will do a couple hunts together. There is so much to keep one intrest in waterfowl hunting. For me it keeps getting better, but I agree with you, I learned a lot on this site and took it to a new level.
I also wish you another decade of waterfowling, cheers!

I too have introduced two to the fold. At 70 i was beginning to lose the drive to hunt. But then came my 12 year old grandson. While taking him along for the past several years did not seem much but once he got his license he's a maniac. " Where we going this week grandpa? Are going both days of the weekend? How about after school?" It was fun for sure. He has a friend who is equally driven to hunt so its fun teaching them and watching there two sponges absorb it all in. While I admit I did not do many full weekend hunts with him I always tried to get him in the boat with my son for a hunt one of the days. Memories i won't forget and hopefully some for him also.
