Great looking hull and nice camo.

Just use two to three different tans, grading toward yellow, applied with a one inch hog bristle brush to streak various lengths over the deeper tan segments of the cattails using the lightest color on the top edge of each frond. This will yield depth and realism to them. You can do the same with the bark stencil using various browns and grays on the open sections. Just dip the stencil immediately in a shallow tray filled with mineral spirits to clean for the next application.
 
Great looking boat, my nephew stenciled my boat when I did a repaint job. I like the looks. If you look at the old sneak boats they didn't use much grass on the boats.
 
The hull looks awesome!
I like the timber pattern. With grass over it, will be tough to see.
I would love to build my own hull, but not in my future. Enjoy the fruits of your labor!
