Over the years that I have been on this great website. I have posted many different post. But a few of my best post were the ones on our waterfowl wealth. We all have plenty of guns ,decoys ,boats ,etc. But the wealth I'm talking about ! is how hunting ducks and geese got to be so powerful to our way of life. To me the times in a duck blind with my dogs and my family or friends was the true wealth. Hours and hours of sitting to empty skies until day break or sunset when the sky lite up with birds. The wealth that I have banked in my memory is worth so much to me. I just turned 62 on August 5 and I still remember my first opening day. I still remember my first duck ,first shotgun, first boat, first wet butt. All banked in my vault in my brain. The first Lab I ever had :his name was JJ . A monster of a dog and the best friend you could ever have. He was a great hunting dog, unless he saw the birds first then he was out of the boat and on his own. But who know better at the time. Or can you remember the old timers that told you stories of the sky being black with ducks. That is wealth my friends. Banking all the information you learned from your dad or mom or anyone that raised ya. Waterfowl wealth is taking your child out in the field or that new pup. Heck I killed more ducks when I had nothing. So its not the stuff that makes you wealthy. Its the memories along the way. And when the ducks are not flying, if you remember this. You will never have a bad day on the water. Waterfowl wealth is something you should be proud of. You saved a life time to bank the information you have. And now we have become the old timers. And the young men and women of today will be telling stories of us. Its a wealth that keeps given and given. And your stock will always be on the raise for ever.View attachment ContactPhoto-IMG_20180623_105131.jpgView attachment 20190922_114707.jpgView attachment 20191214_152519.jpgView attachment 20190826_122609.jpgView attachment 20190120_102821.jpgView attachment 20190312_101105_001.jpg

Great post Anthony!

At 55 years of age I have been blessed with more waterfowl wealth than I could ever imagine. The years of hunting in N. Michigan with my dad and many years hunting with my sons here in SC and Louisiana since they were small children. 13 years with my yellow dog and the past 3 with my chocolate. I look forward to making many more memories with my granddaughter and son to be born grandson!
