When was the last time you had a pair of western diamondbacks mating 10 feet in front of your livingroom sliding glass door to the back courtyard? I received a text with a picture of the two snakes from TMitch's son Eric. My problem is that I have no idea of how to transfer the picture from my phone to this site. Heck, I don't even know how to send it to my wife, Bev,and I know for certain that she doesn't want me to send her that picture! Oh by the way the female was 3 1/2 feet long and the male two inches shorter than that.
Our teal season starts next Saturday, the 11th of Sept. and runs through to Sunday, Sept. 19th. The best news of all is that there is some water on the pond I hunt and it should hold it until the season is over. Well, I sure hope it does. The only thing I need to be careful of is the amount of silt in the water which I would estimate to be about 15 to 18 inches. My duckblind partner is Chip, my yellow lab and he has been in that pond.
Hopefully there will be some ducks in our area when the season opens. I happened to have seen one pair of bluewings/cinnamons on the pond and that was a week ago.

As you can see, there are plenty of places to put my blind, however I will have to toss my decoys out only as far as my 18 foot retriever stick will reach. I do realize that there is no way I can walk in that muck.
