No, sorry to disappoint, I did not go out duck hunting today.

My first order of business was to attend a "watershed management coalition" meeting. This was scheduled for one hour but took up 4 hours before it was done.

The meeting was at a location an hour away from home and I had never explored that particular area before. After my meeting, I drove to the nearest fishing access below a dam to try my luck. As I was leaving the truck, I spied some fungi growing from one of the natural logs ringing the parking lot. Mental note; grab that before leaving.

It was a cold 47 degrees, with some rain in the air and 15 to 20 mph NW winds. I managed to catch several Bass which were all released.

Including this one, the biggest at 17 inches.

I then drove down the road another 20 miles or so and tried a spot I had fished before. It did not disappoint and rewarded me with a nice 20 inch Walleye which went home with me.

All in all, today's foraging efforts went quite well.

I sincerely hope, everyone else enjoyed their day also.

Never had results like that after any of the watershed planning meetings I attended!!
