Advice needed - soft fitting to run gas line through afterdeck

I find myself of late with 3 South Bay Duckboats here at one time. One is just about done; the other two will wait 'til 2022 for my attentions.


One of the latter has its gas tank up forward. The gas line runs up through the afterdeck:

The hole is awfully snug and looks like an obvious wear point.

I will be looking for an alternative that provides protection for the line but also keeps water out. I'm wondering if there are fittings - maybe neoprene or silicone - that might work. Maybe fittings for steering cable?


All recommendations welcome.

Steve a fitting for a VHF or radar cable, if large enough, might work. They have a rubber insert you can cut to size.

I used a rubber collar from West marine. Can be trimmed to size. Gas line, battery cable for electric start and bilge pump discharge. Ugly, but works.
 
Hi Steve,

The route I went was a boot off Amazon with a section of bike inter tube to protect the hose and battery cables even further from chafing. My application didn't need to be waterproof only "resistant" from backwash or waves rolling over the stern. If your Southbays need a watertight seal this is probably not going to work. It's been three years and still working for my application.
