Pretty cool. Never thought about adding plywood extensions to an aluminum boat.

I built and added aluminum sponsons (or pods) to the stern of an aluminum Polar Kraft tunnel boat years ago. It helped with the squat caused by the loss of buoyancy from the tunnel.

Also makes climbing in and out much easier! Brian added them in aluminum on a 16ftr he had, and in plywood on a sneak boat he modified .
