A local antique and curio shop has this sneakbox propped up in a corner. There are other parts scattered around the boat. I noticed that the boat does not have a harpin as part of its construction. Are sneakbox frames usually two parts?

I built one 30 years ago. Had pieced frames. That boat appears to be in the firewood pile.

No idea on construction methods, but I imagine Steve Sanford could have her back in hunting shape after a week or so in his shop!

I don't think that's the firewood pile, looks more like their driftwood/flotsam collection.

The seam between the top and bottom on one side has opened up so I am not sure. I would think it would need to be placed back on a jig and rebuilt.

I might be easier to build a new boat. Plus the seams between the boards have opened quite a bit. If one were to sheath it in fiberglass it would probably not be a problem.

Here are a few more photos of the interior and what looks like the main plank for the centerboard trunk and mast. I did not see any sailing components laying around.

John Gardner's book Classic Small Craft has a section on building a sneakbox. It has two piece frames overlapped. Every frame used the same curve, positioned for height. TH plans took me a while to figure out, but its definitely unique!
