Asking for a friend

I thought you were joking, but I looked it up and you are under a Tsunami warning.... Yikes.

To make you feel better, how about these last days of my season? today is a high of 14 degrees, it is 11 now...

The weather forecast today is perfect for our short brant hunting season. There are usually gale warnings and similar high winds. But I?ve never had a tsunami advisory (predicted ocean 1-3 foot high waves and strong currents for up to 3 hours) before. Inside a shallow bay with many sand bars and oyster reefs in the fog didn?t sound too promising.

How?s the dog like the lacrosse ball?

No lacrosse action yet, I've been keeping him tired out retrieving, but that won't last long.

Gusts over 20 or 25 are a no-go for me, especially with the freezing spray issues.

Tsunami Warning Ordered for Tonga Following Undersea Volcano Eruption No immediate reports of injuries; tsunami advisory issued for Hawaii, Alaska and the U.S. Pacific coast

WELLINGTON, New Zealand? An undersea volcano erupted near the Pacific nation of Tonga on Saturday, sending large tsunami waves crashing across the shore and people rushing to higher ground. A tsunami advisory is in effect for Hawaii, Alaska and the U.S. Pacific coast.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or the extent of the damage because all internet connectivity with Tonga was lost, said Doug Madory, director of internet analysis for the network intelligence firm Kentik. Tonga gets its internet via an undersea cable from Suva, Fiji, which presumably was damaged.

Satellite images showed a huge eruption, a plume of ash, steam and gas rising like a mushroom above the blue Pacific waters.

There are some pretty incredible videos online showing satellite views of that volcanic eruption. Amazing what a good camera in space can show.

Bet there wouldn?t be much competition out there!
Tsunami on west coast US and Japan look to be about 2.5-3.5?

I did see the video. What is even more impressive to me that the dust is the shockwave in the video. They have checked air pressure reading from across North America and can see changes due to the shock wave. They have reported that people in Alaska, 5,000 miles away, heard the eruption.
