Eastern Suffolk Public land hunt

Anybody on here have an experience hunting out east on Long Island? A few hunting buddies and I want to give it a try on the public land around Montauk. We are from the complete opposite side of the island mainly hunting out of a boat, figured why not give something new a try. It would appear you could walk out to some of the spots out there.

Thanks in advance.

Good morning, Joshua~

I presume you are talking about waterfowl hunting.

I cannot be optimistic about the South Fork. I know the Town of Southampton is limited to residents; not sure about Easthampton. So, you can hunt with a guide or as a guest of a resident, but not otherwise - as far as I know.

Suffolk County Parks, though, does offer some waterfowling opportunity, e.g., Sears-Bellows Park. You might try their website.

All the best,

Yes, waterfowl hunting. I?ll look into that park. Thanks for the info, We figured it couldn?t hurt to head out east and explore the island a bit.
