Prop question - again

So I know I need a 9 X 11 3 bladed prop for my 15hp 1996 Evinrude motor. Since my hunting location has changed, I am now running in a lot of muck and sand which just wears away the aluminum prop. Going to try stainless this time as the price isn't that much of a difference.

My question. The stainless props I can find from reputable manufacturers are all 9.25 X 11 props. If my math is right, that means that the top of the prop would only be 1/8" closer to the cavitation plate. Besides me ordering the prop and seeing if it will fit, anyone know if it will or not? And yes, I could go and measure it but the boat is a quite a distance from where I am at right now.

Thanks -

Mark

Where did you learn this from Dave? I've been looking with no luck.

And thank you,

Think I've known this since early 1996 or it could have been since 1976 seeing as how those years were all the same. For those that don't have that info stored in their memory bank (and yes, I did confirm my recall) just look up the OEM part numbers with specs, in an online Evinrude parts catalogue.
0174817 PROPELLER = 9 x 11
0174950 PROPELLER = 9.5 x 10
0398126 PROPELLER = 10 x 7

Never question the great one. I figured it would as every prop seller out there says it should. Place I wanted to order it from said I should measure before ordering. It made me double think my decision. And thinking is hard enough for me, double thinking is really difficult. I ordered it anyway figuring it will fit. Can always return it.

Thanks again for the info
