Anthony~

Thanks for posting this! I have been busy preparing for the Shorebird display. Be sure to remind your uncle Steve that we have room for contemporaries. Have him call me.

I was going to post these watercolors on the Work Bench post - but I'll put them here right now. Although each is a "normal" sized painting - on 9 x 12 paper - these 4 images will be shrunk down for a motif on the "table cards" - the cards that identify each carving, whether antique or contemporary.

Here is a Verity Yellowlegs.

A Lothrop Holmes Turnstone (not an LI carver - but a sweet bird.

A Gelston Curlew (or Whimbrel?).

This Show's theme is officially:

TATTLERS, BEETLEHEADS & ROBIN SNIPE
Shorebird hunting on Long Island

It will include both antique and contemporary shorebird (plovers and sandpipers) decoys, gear and artwork.

See you in 3 weeks!

Mike~

You birds are ready for final paint - they should be done soon. Let's keep in touch as March 5 nears. If I know you'll be there - weather can be unpredictable in early March - I will bring them down.

All the best,
