Mark,
Thanks, I've been checking with Gundogsupply for a while now and the Retriev-r-trainer has been shown as out of stock. I just checked again, and the basic launcher is still out of stock. They did, however, have a bundle with loads and dummy for more money. I didn't need yet another dummy and the loads will eventually be used, so I went ahead and placed an order.
Have you been getting any fishing in?

I've got one of the basic handheld models and it does what I need. Even knocked a few hand thrown dummies out of the tree they were stuck in. I get my blanks at the hardware store and a good bit cheaper than what most gun dog stores ask. All I ever use are greens and yellows. If you buy a foam dummy you'll get at least 50% longer flight than with the canvas dummies.

Dave by chance have you been using the yellow nail gun loads thru your launcher instead of the standard yellow launcher load. I remember reading years ago when I bought my launcher that they advised against using the nail gun loads as they could damage gun. Could be why it stretched extractor?

I've got a few hundred green and yellow "nail blanks" in brass cases through mine with no I'll effects that I can see. That's all I've shot through mine actually.
