You see this ad on Facebook, and wonder if Tod would shoot it.

(What can I say, it's mud season. 65 degrees today. Down to 15 now, predicted to be about 5 tomorrow am. Driveway will be a bobsled run as it flash freezes.)

I was all excited thinking I'd blast it, but then I saw the cord. There are parts of the promo clip where that looks pretty darn good. I'd like to see one of those up close. I'm pretty unhappy with my jerk cord lately.

Sat out side and had dinner and a fire on the deck last night, now we are going to get snow.

I went through the same sequence. I assumed it was motorized, then got intrigued.

My biggest problem with jerk cords is that I usually hunt from natural cover, which works fine as long as I don't move. Even the limited motions to make the jerk cord work attract a lot of duck eyes.

I hunted with a couple of guys this past season who had this and it worked quite well. Only problem was it needs at least 12??s of water to work. There is a shallower version I have been told but it still requires more depth than I have a t a couple of spots I hunt.
