Chet Reneson Decoy

Hollow drake Wigeon, 1lb 7.6oz.

Incredible combing, paint and very well carved.

Waited a longtime to be caretaker of a Mr. Reneson decoy. A wonderful birthday gift from my wife Mary Lee. Being able to hold a sculpture from such a artist brings much joy, and inspiration.

Reneson is my favorite waterfowl artist. I never tire of looking at his duck hunting series of watercolors. They are amazing. I never knew he carved too. That is awesome. Congrats on the acquisition.

Beautiful, Vince. Greg Bires told me he visited with & got a decoy from Chet years ago on a hunting trip out East.

His watercolor "Good Old days" hangs in our home.

Awesome Vince! Being from central CT I worked on the Reneson Christmas tree farm picking rocks in high school. I've handled a bunch of his decoys but there isn't one in my collection yet. Someday!
