Those are the best ones Dani lol. My new pup Bree, and yes she is sure a bugger!

Picked out my pup today. Grey has really turned it on and been a well rounded pup behavior wise. Also the only male currently interested in bird wings and the only male that consistently will pick up the quail and carry it around.
Say hello to Teague everyone. Pick him up next week

By any chance did you see if he would track the bird after dragging along the ground without him seeing it and hiding it under a bush. What I have found over the years this is
a better way to test prey drive over sight drive.

Right now none of them were tracking really well. The mischievous yellow collared female was probably Truly pick of the litter still, if anyone would have tracked it would have been her. But this guy was the best male.
There was one guy coming today after me to look at the litter. My buddy said if anything drastic changes with personality or abilities with either of them I could swap pups unless someone else had already claimed, but I don?t see that happening.

There was another male that might have given this one a run but when me and my gf looked at them last week that pup was barker / vocal and my buddy said that trait has only gotten worse which is not a habit I tend to tolerate well.

This one when placed back in the play pen would go entertain himself vs cry and whine at the pen.. but also first to come when whistled to

I understand completely. There are so many traits to look for. It is not easy. Good luck with your new puppy.

Thanks. Planning on taking him to a couple of the duck camp work days and the annual early teal hunt. Don?t plan on hunting him .. but getting him exposed to everyone, the routine and other dogs in camp.

Hoping I can find time to start him on the hunt test circuit

Socialization is key for a Chesapeake. If you plan on running hunt test's, try to get involved with a AKC or UKC retriever club. They develop
fast so everyday counts. Have fun and keep us posted on his development.

What kennel or breeder did you get the pup from. My buddy is looking for one. Anybody point me to a good line?

Bob. Breeder is actually my best friend . Both mom and dad are Jam up dogs. Numerous titles.
He still has some males and females available.

Website is Schillings Gundogs

You got one of Myra Mars pups?
If you did, good for you. Dam with a grand pass and a GRHRCH sire. I was surprised that litter didn?t get more press in the Chessie world. If I wasn?t attempting to breed my bitch at the time I may have had one too!

Great looking pup! Great name as well. Curious, how you pick the name? Teague has been on my dog-name list for a while. Named after places on Virginia?s Eastern Shore like ChincoTEAGUE, PungoTEAGUE, and AssaTEAGUE.

Best wishes with your new buddy
