Keel repair
The keel on my boat after 15 years has had all of the epoxy worn off of it. When I built the boat I had put Gloveit on the bottom and the rest of the bottom is still in good shape. This weekend I crawled under the boat on the trailer and planed down the keel so it's ready for some epoxy. I am planning on adding Graphite powder to the Epoxy. Does anybody know the how much graphite to add to the Epoxy and a good source for it?

Raka has it. See link below. Not sure what the proper epoxy mix should be but I would think something along the lines of mayo. Getting it spread upside down is going to be a real fun exercise. Hope it goes well for you.

Thanks for the link Eric. Don't know why I didn't think of Raka that's who used way back when I built the boat! Your right on spreading it upside down. Hoping to keep the mess to a minimum both on the ground and on me.

Good morning, Eric~

Thanks for the source for Graphite powder. US Composites has been out-of-stock for years. I just ordered some - and will try some of their epoxy as well.

All the best,
