I bought this from Steve several years ago, and I was reminded of it from another post. This was unlike any other oyster knife I'd seen, and I like oysters. I have a few spots i can gather them at the right tide. Anyway, it works great and looks great, and is very rugged, as it needs to be. I like shucking my oysters in style.

Yes sir Greg...That's one that I made all right. That was quite some time ago, glad to see your putting it to good use still. That thing should last many more years for sure!

Steve,

I recall when you had a wonderful display of your work at the HDG show, and we stopped and visited with you. Your Oyster Knives really caught my eye. Well made and unique. Yes indeed I wanted one, but in western NY it would seldom if ever get used and they need to be put to work.

Your work is top shelf, and it's good to see your back in action.

Best regards
Vince

You bet Carl!![cool]

Vince...Thank you for the kind words. I really do appreciate that. The HDG shows were a lot of fun. I'd love to get back down there again someday soon. It is good to be back doing the calls and other things. I missed it, but I never really got out of it completely. I only made them when somebody asked me to for the longest time. The wood supplier I had moved his operation down to Carolina and I couldn't hand pick it any more. I have other methods to get things going again. We'll see what happens.

Are you still doing some of your signs and decoys? I never did get some of your work....we'll have to fix that at some point..

Steve

Steve,

Like you we also miss the HDG show. When my brother and sister inlaw moved back to NY from Lancaster, PA we don't get down that way anymore. Love the museum and and the show. The stroll thru town always enjoyable.

I'm still doin' what I was made to do, but at Geezer Speed - Art, Carving, Hunting & Fishing. Is there anything else in Life?

When ya do what ya love for a longtime. There are always bumps in the road that we must deal with and overcome to keep going. Stopping what we do does not seem to be a choice. When we are gone there is proof we were here.

God willing we shall cross paths again, I look forward to that.

Best regards
Vince
