I've got a Duck Boss 13 with a canvas blind that I'm hoping to improve upon. My current setup involves the base canvas blind, and attaching fast grass mats to the frame with metal hooks. While the setup certainly does the job of hiding us from the ducks, if there is any wind whatsoever then the blind acts as a sail when we are retrieving ducks. The fastgrass also has its limitations with durability, and setting up the blind in two parts (first canvas, then fastgrass) is an added step in the morning that I'd like to avoid. So, I'm looking into swapping out the fast grass for raffia that is attached directly to the canvas, and then popping the frame out on the back canvas panels and rolling the blind down to the rail while motoring. Does anyone have any other thoughts on how to reduce windage while maintaining good concealment? Pics for reference.
