Here are a few pictures from the first split.
The first is of Luke. Ya'll may not remember but I posted back in the summer about heartworm treatment for Luke. Treatment went well. He was sure glad to get out of a crate and back into the field.
One of my hunting partners son killed his first duck this year. I had this picture enlarged and am having it framed to give him for Christmas.
We have had a succesful first split and did very well last weekend, the opening of the second split. I got a canvasback last Sunday. I haven't killed a canvasback since I was in highschool until. Whenever my kids don't hunt with me, they like to play "identify the ducks" when I get home. My seven year old ID'd the canvasback but the Hooded Merganser stumped him and my daughter.
