The best part of the season is still to come down here, now that the semi-autos are put away and the fully autos of the DSLR type, will be out and about...

Here's a couple for my friends...

Those BW's are soo SWEET looking! Do you guys ever see cinnamons, or is mostly Blue and green wings?

Thanks for sharing!

The best part about seeing these pics, is that I actually get to see what the duck looks like flying, instead of trying to figure out lead of a bird traveling left to right at 15 yards going 50 mph, lol. Excellent pics Hitch, hopefully we can get together again next year!!

Saw a flock of well over one thousand black bellies sunning on an island on Tuesday (mardi-gras). Definitely the most I have ever seen. Didn't have the camera, would have made for a sick picture. They were walking all over each other. Packed in like snow geese. They were deafining at close range. Has anyone else ever seen that many?

You shot more ducks in those 4 pics than I shot all season!!!
Great pics, I wish the bluewings stayed around here all season.
That drake greenwing is being kinda greedy don't ya think? Three hens to himself!

do you ever get any mallards down there? i think if it were me i wouldnt be able to stand all the teal all the time. dont get me wrong they are beautiful little sporting birds but i like to eat and it would seem i would have to do alot of shooting to feed myself. any divers?

eddie

Blackbellies are goooood eatin... and as big as mallards.

We get pretty much everything except not many real mallards, and other really hardy birds. We do have Florida ducks (mottled) We don't get too many Scoters, Cans, squaws... but some when it's really cold up north...lots of the other divers.

Hitch that speculum on the BWT is unbelieveable in that pic. WOW

Love that Ringer just sort of floating there.

Thanks for sharing.

Any more?

that ringneck looks like it should be on a duck stamp. now thats diver hunting i could do, layout boat, bunch of decoys, bunch of shells and 65 degree water. opps ive fallen overboard..........marco.................polo hehehe did anyone bring the floaties.

i'll trade ya a lake champlain hunt for big mallards and big northern black ducks with some whistlers for good measure for a diver hunt in florida for bills and ringdings.
