sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

That is my new direction for my decoy collection, Ge's as the main decoy of choice.
GREAT work on them they will definetly draw in some REAL GREENHEADS!

I like those ladies!

I have to get the shop together and get carving! Thanks for the inspiration.

Nice dekes! I love 'em.

They'd work a charm up here on the lake for our "real greenheads" (hehe).

What a difference even one good deke can make. We hunted over one of Ed Gagne's hand carved whistlers this fall and it was like a GE magnet. The could've cared less about my foamers - the went to his like on a beeline.

Pat,

Those look just like the real thing! I went all season without seeing one GE and just this weekend I spotted 18 sitting on a local river by my friends house. He's a non-hunter and did understand my excitement. Seeing your dozen dekes all lined up reminds me of the river:) The ratio of drakes to hens is prefect. Thanks for sharing.

i'll have to agree those hens are something special. those are some real nice looking blocks.

charlie i hope to have a dozen of my own to hunt this year so you'll have to come help me test'em out

Eddie,

Excellent!

Don't forget, the offer still stands if you want to come down some time and cut out heads/bodies out on the band saw. It is just sitting idle in the garage. Let me know far enough in advance and I can even pick up a new blade.

It might be better to wait for warm weather. I still haven't plumbed/installed the garage heater and probably won't until summer. But, the good news is that the heater I got has 75,000 BTUs - that outta' be warm enough to carve/boat build in the garage next year, by George. The only downside is that I'll have to refrigerate the beverages. I can live with that!

charlie i fear no cold garage. you know that night a few days ago that was down to -15, well i needed to carve a head for a decoy and my shop is a garage with out a door ;) gloves were required.

ive got a few orders left before i start on my own rig, im hoping for 12 whistlers and 12-14 mixed mallards and blacks. ive got some black cork for some mag blacks to maybe 4-6
