I would like to see some pictures of how to us decoy sled and how to build one so if you have some and like to use them then please post a reply.

Ryan,

Go to the top and hit "search posts". Then enter "eider sleds". There was a helpful post with some drawings recently. You'll find it right away.

Mark, now your gonna say all your birds are dead when they hit the water...no shotholes in those sleds!

hey lee, is this better?!!! i wish i could say that we decoy lots of cannys in a season. just doesnt happen, escpecially when we are experiencing the warmest december on record. damn it! MVC-028S.JPGMVC-029S.JPGMVC-030S.JPG

One other bit of advice. If you use plywood to make them, seal the edges well with Valspar or some other oil-based sealer. I would use 2 coats at least. I simply used oil primer on the ones I made last year and wished I had sealed them well before painting. I'm now having to go back and use thinned Titebond III to fill in some of the cracks that have opened up between the layers.

Gee Mark, After seeing those shot up sleds, I gotta ask; How many times has Harker hunted with you guys or was that all from one time?????? hehehehehehe
