Well Todd, Chris and I went out hunting today again. We each came home with two birds, though I got three but lost one in the grasses. Here is a few pictures from today. I set up behind the trees in the picture to the left. Crawling through the brush is interesting, especially when you can just smell the hogs....don't want to run into the 300 lb suckers out there. I ended up with a hen teal and drake woodrow. I paddled that creek and found several cuts that went to teal hidey holes. Nice day, cool temps, snow flurries (no joke), quiet (i went in my canoe, todd and chris went in the other) Mr. Tealitor worked his magic again :)

Well I went to clean my birds from Wednesday and Tuesday and I was beginning to pluck out some of the woodrow feathers for my dad to tie flies with and on one of my woodrows, the one from Wednesday, a shiny little piece of jewelry slid out from under all the feathers!!!!! Woooohooooooo! My very first band...drake woodrow! Just had to share!

Congrats on the bling! Gotta love a gal that not only hunts, but could care less about wearing your shirt backwards on the world wide web!!!!!! Keep up the good work and leave a few for seed as I am bringing my layout rig down to your area next month! Also, on those LONG paddles by yourself, a kayak paddle works much better and doubles as a push pole in a pinch.

The backwards and inside out shirt; she does that on purpose. It's a Goof thang.

Dani,
Getting those bands is lots of fun. Braggin rights. Now start your necklass.
Maybe Santa will bring me a dig. camera and I can post some photos of my hunts and those dekes you'd asked about.
Congrats again. Looks like all ya'll had a fun hunt.
Kevin
Imagine, these birds, wonders of beauty all, which may have flown thousands of miles, now come to my decoys for my pleasure and table.

Jeff-
I'm really surprised that I got off as light as I did with the ribbing from this group. Not to worry though...I can be a tough loony bird :) I learned real early that you just have to put your big girl panties on if your gonna play with them crazy big girls. But once one gets to know me, they aren't terribly surprised to see me dressed with my shirt inside out (although inside out AND backwards is a rarity even for me). :)
