We need more pictures!

You asked for it.
Don't be intimidated by the large trophy rack, you too may be lucky enough to one day take a deer like this.

Sorry for the bad cell phone picture but it may be a month or 4 before my brother sends pictures. I still don't have the walleye pictures from my August trip.

Seriously I'm pretty happy with this little bit of a buck. It's been a few years since I've shot a deer and I put a lot of time watching trials in some cold winds.

This day the fog was so thick that it took me an hour to get to my spot about a 1.5 mi. from the launch. Just couldnt see anything and had to clear the prop twice of weeds. this pic was at 11:00am when the fog started to lift.

Good post idea Mike!

Great pics everyone!!

My 2 BLF's and I made a little run from West Michigan over to South Dakota about 10 days ago and met up with childhood friends of mine. We try to get together out there every other year, for a wildfowl safari. There is always something new, "a first for me" on every trip, and this year was a white fronted goose. (speckle belly)
This trip was my young dog's first trip and it was fantastic to see that light bulb turn on in her head when she finally understood what she was supposed to be doing out in the field. She was a "bird finding machine" after her epiphany happened. Bella, my older (9 1/2 years) veteran female was in her glory out there. She acted likes she was 3 again.
below are a few pics in no particular order.

A heavy strap for the day.

heres two from my charter last weekend. This boys mom hired me to take her son out on his first duck hunting trip for his tenth birthday present. He shot his first duck (drake redhead) and then some. His dad came along to but he got to do most of the shooting.

Here's Lucky Laroo. He turned 6 this July. Truth be told, He is absolutely AWESOME when it comes to finding pats and woodcock, but isn't worth a damn as a retriever.

OK, he does retrieve a bit, just not birds. Long story short; The first bird I ever asked him to retrieve was in ND about 100 yards across a lake a mile and 1/2 long. He swims all the way to the other side and points it. Stood staunch on point for 15 minutes till I finally got tired of yelling and walked all the way around the lake to pick it up myself. At least he saves me trips to the fridge. I'd keep the good stuff on hand, but this is from the days when I ran with a bunch of freeloaders.
