Duck Hunting on Kodiak Island, AK

This is a thread to an Alaska Outdoors site. The rule makers just recently changed the laws up here that increases, or better defines, what "helps" a big game hunter on unguided hunts. The use of private cabins was deamed as one of the things that helps an unguided hunter. This will be flowing down to a lot of folks over the next year. If they want to keep helping unguided hunters then they have to get a lot more paper work processed.

His rate of $250 a day is reasonable since it compares to several other operations around Kodiak, and the more people the less the individual has to pay.

So if anyone is looking for an adventure that is mostly self supported you can contact this guy and get into some truely Alaskan ducking. And if you have to defend yourself from a blacktail deer along the way I am sure that the Troopers will understand. Oh yeah, before I forget the bears are really big here. Afterall it is not named Deadman's Bay for nothing.
