project 2009

Yes Joe it's warm enough down your way for mellon seeds to grow. Up where Bill is you have to grow them inside. I was down in Atlanta over the Holiday but because of time restraints didn't get to stop by. Maybe next time. It was zero when I left Wis and when I got back the first night it was 10 below. What a shock to the system.
I got my computer updated. My son bought me a twenty four inch monitor for Christmas. Nice for these old eyes.

Bill, I am glad you are able to get back to working on the seed. That will be a real nice boat when your done.

Pete, sorry you didn't have the extra couple hours to stop and visit. You probably went up I75 and I am across the SC line on I85.Got a surprise the other day when Leslie Riggen stoped by with his friend Tom.Gave a tour of the fun stuff. That big screen you got sounds great.I have a 17"lap top that is just right, but bigger is better;^)

When the melonseed is completed and before rubrails etc go on I will be seeking investers to have molds made. would like input on the success of selling the melonseed as a classic duck boat. thanks Bill

A sailing version, no. With a motor, maybe. But then it may not really be a melon seed. Most hunters can't rely on the breeze to get to and from their gunning waters. I would still like to build one and paint it brown or open-water gray, though.

Joe,Still planing ma lap streak hull got orders from the wife to work on a few decoys a lay off the melonseed for awhile need some african mahogany for keel and stern. best Bill

Check out melonseed construction AA cozzi's boatworks
I did Bill.Nice construction pics. There are quite a few owners in the Melonhead crowd,up to 16',but none that I know of used for Ducking.I might be the first with a special sumbrella cover on my seed.
